Topic: The Nurture Consilience: Evolving Societies That Work for Everyone

Presented by: Dr. Tony Biglan & Dr. Andrew Bonner, 08/20/2021

Drs. Tony Biglan and Andrew Bonner introduce The Nurture Consilience, a concept that an aggregation of evidence from a diverse range of independent disciplines can serve as a framework for the identification of the conditions that promote wellbeing. Dr. Biglan discusses both nurturing and hindering environments, adverse childhood experiences, prosocial and antisocial behavior, and the deleterious influence of the free-market system. Dr. Bonner introduces Action Circles, problem-solving study groups based on Swedish Study Circles, and possibilities for how they could be designed and implemented.
